Yard Operative

**Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting for yard waste pickers / recycling ops for our client dealing with wood and waste recycling based in the Loanhead area, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.**

About the role:

- Working hours of 0745 - 1630 Monday to Friday (40 hrs per week with opportunity for overtime).
- Key duties of this role would include segregating waste into the appropriate areas, manual handling of waste materials, ensuring that the yard is clean and tidy, and dealing with skip collections in to the warehouse. You may also receive some training on machinery in the yard if this is something you are keen for.
- We are looking for hard-working, determined, and committed individuals, and ask that applicants are physically fit and comfortable with lifting due to the nature of the role.

Rate of pay (PAYE with holidays accrued):

- Basic - £10.42 p/h (40 hrs per week)
- Overtime - £15.63 p/h (after 40 hrs in the week)
- Saturdays - £15.63p/h (optional day depending on your availability and client's needs)
