**About the client**:
The client, a well-established surgery situated in Llanfyllin, serves as a crucial healthcare hub for the local community. This surgery is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical services to address the healthcare needs of its diverse patient base. The healthcare professionals at the surgery are committed to offering personalised and compassionate care, ranging from routine check-ups to specialized medical treatments.

**Hours of work**:
Monday to Friday, between the hours of 17:30 - 21:30

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
- Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
- Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.
- Clean and sanitise toilet blocks and the office on site.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
- Ability to walk between the cleaning areas in all weathers
