**Salary**: £15.30 per hour

**Hou**r **s**: 22.5 Hours per week.

Established in 1992, Ponthafren is a mental health charity providing wraparound support services.

We provide two wellness, learning and recovery centres in North Powys, our core business is to provide recovery focused support to individuals with mental health issues, including drop-in services and 1:1 and group support alongside remote and outreach services, to help bring our communities together and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

**Aim of the role**

Online CBT is a psycho-educational programme designed to provide early intervention provision within the Primary Care arena.

With growing demands on Therapeutic Services resulting in increasing waiting lists it is getting more difficult for people to access the help they need in time. This role will be delivering our
SilverCloud Blended Online CBT programme.

The programme is an online space that offers a range of programmes-based in Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to empower the client to develop skills to manage their wellbeing with more confidence.

**Key objectives of the role**
- To be responsible for a client caseload of the Blended Online CBT clients offering administrative and technical and promotional support as well as ongoing encouragement throughout the programme.
- Knowledge of/ A willingness to learn the PHQ9 & GAD7 assessment tools.
- To engage and motivate the client to stay on track and access the platform regularly.
- To accurately and efficiently manage all administration processes.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with key partner agencies such as GP practice staff and PtHB.
- To undergo any training relevant to the role either internally or externally.
- To where appropriate signpost/refer to other services.
- To maintain confidentiality at all times, unless there is required sharing of information in adherence with policies.
- To contribute to effective communication within the staff team and be responsible for playing a full part in effective team working.
- Work within and adhere to Ponthafren’s policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Ponthafren’s ‘feel good’ values.

**Person Specification**

**Experience & Qualifications**
1. At least 12 months’ experience of working face to face with the public, some of whom may present as emotionally upset or angry from time to time.

2. Level 3 in Counselling or equivalent

3. 6 months of providing mental health/wellbeing services

**Knowledge**
1. Knowledge of social care and the issues of supporting people with a range of mental health issues, including risk assessment.

2. Knowledge of the current trends in mental health provision including social inclusion, assessment and recovery.

3. Knowledge of the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approach and how this may improve psychological wellbeing with more confidence.

4. Knowledge of the Person Centred approach.

5. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Teams

**Abilities**

1. Ability to motivate people to engage in self-help activities.

2. Ability to offer a bespoke pathway in regards to client approach, offering flexibility and /or consistency where appropriate and needed.

3. Ability to deliver the service as an intervention and provide psycho-educational skills to enhance client’s wellbeing.

4. Ability to assess clients for suitability and make appropriate referrals when necessary.

5. Ability to identify and manage risk incidents.

6. Ability to work as part of a team and to work on own initiative.

7. Ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues, referring agencies and GP staff teams.

8. Ability to carry out a range of office tasks (telephone, word processing, taking bookings, report writing, using databases) accurately and without supervision.

9. Ability to work within PTHB’S policy and procedures.

10. Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service, both in terms of hours and role, including occasional evening and weekend working.
