To support the nursing and doctor team in providing care and advice to patients and carers, encouraging self-care and the achievement of independence, where appropriate. To support administration staff in preparation of accurate and up to date patient documentation. To carry out phlebotomy To gain the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to administer basic life support if necessary. To maintain a professional image and observe confidentiality at all times To maintain accurate records of patient documentation.
To maintain accurate, timely and legible records of patient care including data input and submission of statistical information as required To prepare and maintain clinical environments according to Health & Safety and Infection Control policies. To contribute to the ordering, distribution and maintenance of equipment To feedback and report on the condition and welfare of patients to the appropriate clinician. To participate in research and audit activity as appropriate To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as a direct response to surgery requirements. To work in accordance with policies, procedures and protocols recognised by Practice.
