**Hays is now recruiting for a Band 7 Mental Health Practitioners**

**About the role**:
You will be expected to deliver a high level of clinical expertise to allow the triaging and accessing of mental health referrals for children, adolescents, and young people (0-25).

You will be expected to demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process and work with partner agencies to ensure children and young people receive the right care.

Location: Cringleford, Norfolk

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To have high level of clinical expertise in the mental and emotional health needs of children, young people, and their families, and be able to complete full assessments via telephone and other forms of digital technology which enable high level and timelyclinical decisions to be made.
- To take accountability for clinical decisions and demonstrate a high level of clinical judgement
- To ensure appropriate action is taken when clinical risks are identified by self or team member and that the escalation process is followed appropriately
- To have a robust understanding of local emotional health provision and be able to give children, young people and their families and referrers appropriate advice and guidance and as needed make appropriate referrals and support colleagues to make referralsto the appropriate service.
- To have excellent clinical skills and knowledge of child and young people's mental health needs and local services.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Professional registration as a Registered Nurse, therapist, psychologist or social worker is mandatory
- Experience of clinical practice in mental health
- Clinical Masters is desirable
