**Research Engineer - Device**

Belgium - Onsite position

**Responsibilities**:

- Investigate the viability of prospective inventions and products typically 5+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap.
- Initiate and contribute to the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific and engineering research projects in both fab and laboratory environments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and our foundry / EDA / research partners on site and globally to leverage the insights gained from research, develop devices, and mitigate issues by identifying shortcomings and proposing and evaluating devicemodifications.
- Participate in the transfer of feasible technology solutions to the internal technology development team.
- Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contributes to technical literature and conferences.
- Involve in development of intellectual property.

To be considered you will need the following:

- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related discipline
- Knowledge with semiconductor physics, unit process modules and related technology
- 2+ years of experience in advanced engineering disciplines such as physics, and programming language
- 2+ years of experience with semiconductor device design, simulation, characterization and data analysis/modeling (or Semiconductor device fabrication and physical characterization)
- Emphasis in Solid State Material and Semiconductor Device Physics, CMOS Process Technology
- CMOS Logic Devices/Ferroelectric Memory/Magnetoelectric Devices
- Hands-on experience on device design, TCAD simulations, or Molecular Dynamics Simulation
- Ab-initial/Atomistic simulation of advanced materials and semiconductor devices
- Proficient in coding/scripting language (C/C++/python/Matlab)
