**Accounts Assistant - Burton**

We are expanding our internal accounts team and recruiting an Accounts Assistant who has a genunine passion for numbers.

**Job Overview - Accounts Assistant**
- Responsibility for all aspects of bought ledger and bank reconciliation and to support the Finance Manager when required

**Key Tasks**:

- Purchase order requests in the remit of the purchase order standard
- Collate purchase invoices and ensure they are authorised against purchase orders and proof of delivery
- Processing invoices on Basecone and transactions on Twinfield (ie Bank Statements/Sales Ledger)
- Run and distribute timesheets summary
- Reconcile petty cash and process petty cash journals for all offices
- Post expenses on CCH and file down receipts
- Sales ledger reconciliation and post journal
- Distribute credit card statements and process journals on receipt of information
- Prepare and process accruals and prepayment journals
- Ad-hoc credit control
- Update admin financial workings (with new folders) for next financial year
- Prepare information for annual audit
- Prepare insurance renewals
- Assist in daily banking as and when required

**Experience Required**:

- Experience of accounting software
- A good understanding of relevant Microsoft Office software e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel
- Experienced in bank posting, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Good numeric and grammar skills
- Take ownership of tasks and able to deliver on deadlines and with accuracy
