**About the role**
An opportunity exists for an Electromagnetic Engineer within the E3 Team. The role is responsible for the safe and effective conduct of specific test and evaluation activities relating, but not limited to aircraft (civil and military), Land Platforms andtheir associated armament and electronic systems/equipment, working within project teams alongside other engineering disciplines.
This Electromagnetic Engineer is within the Radio Frequency (RF) Design, Test, and Evaluation group, which has teams responsible for providing advice for air, land and sea platforms and systems. This covers the breadth of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC),TEMPEST, Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Antenna Measurement, as well as providing design skills for the front-end of Radar and RF communications systems to support products and projects in a wide range of domains.
**What do I need?**
You must have knowledge / experience in some but not all of the following:
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)/Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), the impact of High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF), the Direct and Indirect effects of Lightning Strike and the Hazards of Electromagnetic Fields (EMF).
**What will I be doing?**
- The Electromagnetic Engineer will provide technical expertise in a customer facing and delivery focused environment.
- You will understand customers' problems and contribute to innovative solutions.
- You will go through technology watch, build familiarity and awareness of new techniques and collaboration opportunities, and develop those with the team when applicable.
- The Electromagnetic Engineer will provide continued technical engagement with key stakeholders.
- You will produce written documentation (including presentation material) of technical work in accordance with Project requirements.
