**Job Summary**
The Senior PMO Analyst/Programme Planner will be within our Centre of Excellence team in the existing Corporate Portfolio Office (CPO), reporting to the CPO Manager. You will join a team of PMO practitioners to support our portfolio of change. You will initiallybe assigned to a major programme of change and report to that Programme’s PMO Manager to:

- Develop and manage Project and Programme level plans using best practice and industry standard tools to ensure delivery schedules are accurately documented, realistic and executed, providing appropriate challenge of the practicality of such plans
- Contribute to planning at workstream and project level and integrate these plans to create an integrated programme plan
- Assist in the project and programme governance including monitoring of performance against programme and project plans and milestones, and impact analysis of proposed changes
- Identify inter-dependencies across projects and other organisational initiatives through engagement with project delivery staff to ensure that scheduling conflicts can be managed effectively
- Validate resource plans through analysis of project and resource plans to identify resource risks and confirm a high level of confidence in delivery
- Support the Programme Manager and Project Managers in the preparation and updating of accurate project and programme documentation including plans, status reports, RAID logs and project dashboards on a timely basis
- Assist the Programme Manager in the production of presentations for senior management
- Identify and provide early notification of exceptions and variances to planned milestone to facilitate appropriate management escalation
- Support the programme manager and project managers in data gathering and preparation activities for monthly business, IT forecast, and cost analysis
You will also be expected to work with others within the CoE and wider change community to develop and implement programme and project planning and plan maintenance standards for use across other initiatives using MS Project as the key planning tool, providingsupport to other practitioners in the process of planning and plan maintenance.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Proficient with MS Office (particularly Word and Excel)
- Expert in the use of planning and reporting using MS Project preferably with MS Project Server/Project Online
- Expert in programme and project planning and maintenance
- Familiar with use of SharePoint and Jira
- Familiar with project and programme management principles, methods, techniques and tools
- Proficient at collating, analysing and reporting information from various sources
- Good attention to detail and able to prioritise activities to meet deadlines and objectives
- Effective communication skills both written and oral
- Collaborative team worker
- Customer focussed
