A full-time Research Associate position is available for a period of 18 months within the Centre for Rehabilitation. The purpose of the role is to work on a research project to assess the feasibility of an intervention designed to target (i) physical activity behaviour of adults with heart failure; and (ii) referral behaviour of healthcare professionals (HCPs) who provide care to people with heart failure in primary and secondary care, including inpatient and outpatient settings. The theory and evidence informed intervention to be evaluated has been developed systematically in collaboration with heart failure patients and HCPs. The applicant will work under the direct supervision of Leah Avery, Professor of Applied Health Psychology, but will be a member of a wider multidisciplinary research team of medical and health professionals, exercise scientists, behavioural scientists, and intervention developers.
