Radio Engineer needed to support with planning and designing the delivery of 4G/5G solutions
Location: London Southwark (hybrid - once every 3 months in the office + occasional site visits to the closest office location)
Contract: 3 months rolling
Rate: £400 per day through umbrella
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Overview
You will support delivering 2G/3G/4G/5G RAN special solution designs mainly for Strategic locations and corporate customers. The role involves understanding the current radio performance in terms of network KPIs and customer complaints, site design weaknessesand proposing the radio design for new sites, or solution in existing ones, to meet our client's performance targets. You will be required to lead our client's vendors and suppliers to make sure designs follow the Networks strategy.
Key responsibilities:

- Lead and own radio designs for bespoke RAN solutions for Tunnels, Airports, Shopping Centres & other High-Capacity locations.
- Technical POC for bespoke Strategic/Corporate solutions to make sure future designs and decisions align with Networks strategy.
- Driving suppliers to ensure systems coverage address any negative influences on network performance as well as delivering future proofed solutions.
- Provide onsite customer support local testing when required.
- Develop and continually improve processes and methodologies used within the team.
- Decide on technology scope of the relevant customer solutions to meet specified service requirement.
- Liaising with all Radio project teams to manage the delivery of the access network capabilities ensuring great performance.
- Responsible for drawing approvals, configuration build and producing technical information to back up business cases.

Experience Needed
- Excellent understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G radio network technology.
- Must have experience on design of bespoke indoor coverage solutions.
- Deep knowledge of small cell, DAS and indoor technology and associated backhaul.
- Understanding of mobile network performance and optimisation and Coverage testing tools.
- Understanding of the complex interaction between coverage and capacity in the mobile radio access network.
- Drive/Walk Testing Analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working in projects involving multiple MNO deployments.
