**Overview**

GM Coachwork is one of the UK’s largest vehicle conversion specialists, striving to design, manufacture and deliver accessible transport solutions. We are a privately funded large business employing more than 200 people. We are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, established business in South Devon.

An automotive Welder will be responsible for welding together metal components to create automotive parts. You must have the ability to read blueprints and schematics, be able to work accurately and quickly, and be able to work with a variety of metals.

**Day-to-day duties but not limited to**

Complete and adhere to departmental induction instructions, complete minimum safety training documentation and practical assessments as required by the company

Carry out all work in accordance with relevant safe systems of work

Attend all additional training as required to include updating appropriate coding certification when necessary

Adhere to job cards and complete all work in accordance with information provided, paying attention to the order of work and the time allowed

Strive to complete all work in accordance with standard allowed times and report any delays to supervisor

Report any faulty or broken components to supervisor immediately

Comply with quality control systems, methods and documentation and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times

**Essential skills and Experience**

Qualified Welder with M.I.G. experience

Be proficient in the use of measuring equipment

Experience of T.I.G.

welding stainless steel and aluminium operating a press brake would be advantageous but is not essential.

**Personal Circumstances**

Full UK/EU Driving Licence

Eligible to work in the UK

**What we offer**

Hourly Rate: £10.50 -£12.50 depending on experience

Typical working hours: 08:00 - 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Annual holiday entitlement in any holiday year is 28 days, inclusive of all public holiday entitlement. Following the completion of 5 years’ continuous service, holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Pension 5% employee and 3% employer contribution

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
