**Job overview**:
We are looking to appoint 2 x Assistant Psychologists to work on the Acute Mental Health wards at Longreach House.

The roles will include a mixture of clinical work including group and individual work. There will be work with the ward teams supporting reflective practice and team formulation.

This is an exciting time to be joining the ward teams as we are implementing a new psychology model which will need evaluation, so this role provides opportunities for service development and evaluation.

These roles are supported by a full time Clinical Psychologist based on site and a wider inpatient psychology team who work together across wards.

**Main duties of the job**:
To work as a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary teams working within the Acute Care pathway, according to a plan agreed with the service teams and the supervising psychologist.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the designated services by providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist working within the service, and by working independently according to a plan agreed with the service teams and the supervising psychologist.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of outcome statistics, and/or other project work as appropriate and agreed with the service teams and supervising psychologist.
