Dispenser

Old School Medical Practice require a qualified dispenser with experience of working in a GP Surgery or in retail pharmacy to join our Practice based at our Copmanthorpe site. This would form a job share role along with our current dispenser and would be for 16 hours a week over two days increasing to full time to cover holidays.

The position requires Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy dispensing, good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.

Generating prescriptions using the SystmOne clinical system.
- Accurate Dispensing and labelling drugs from stock.
- Drug ordering, unpacking and stock rotation.
- Dealing with patient queries via the telephone and in person referring on to the relevant clinician when necessary.
- Dealing with queries from other pharmacists and hospitals.
- Collecting prescription money via till and card machine.
- Ensuring prescriptions are signed (by hand or electronically) by the prescriber.
- Adhering to all dispensary Standard Operating procedures.
- Giving out prescription requests and dispensed items.

We are a small friendly team delivering care to 7,500 patients across two surgeries
