Trainee Transmission Controller

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Transmission Controller to work in a live broadcast environment.

In this role you will be responsible for the behind the scenes work that means viewers around the World get to watch live sport.

Working in a modern control room you will be responsible for a range of tasks including downlinking satellite feeds, making sure the correct sources are going to the correct destinations, streaming live content, running commercial breaks, coordinating with external and internal clients and reacting professionally when things go wrong.

You must have great attention to detail, be willing to take charge of a situation and have the ability to keep calm under pressure (even when other people aren't).

The role is part technical and part operational and requires shift work that includes weekends, nights and public holidays.

Please be aware that this is not a production role.

Knowledge of a wide range of sports is desirable.

Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
