**Job Title: Marine Carpenter**

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute precise measurements, cutting, shaping, and installation of wooden components for marine structures.
- Repair and maintain existing wooden structures, decks, cabins, and other marine fixtures.
- Knowledgeable in selecting appropriate wood materials for marine environments, considering durability and resistance to water damage.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of carpentry tasks.
- Collaborate with other marine professionals, including engineers and designers, to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with overall vessel design and functionality.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship to ensure the longevity and safety of marine structures.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Marine Carpenter, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
- In-depth knowledge of marine carpentry techniques, wood properties, and finishes.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and agility to work in a marine environment.

**Experience**:

- Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Birmingham, West Midlands (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Birmingham, West Midlands: Relocate before starting work (required)
