Medical Receptionist

A well established private medical clinic based in the West End are currently seeking a receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis
Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities many of which are shared with other staff:

- Answering the phone.
- Greeting patients, taking payments.
- Chasing results/correspondence from specialists/medical lab.
- Contacting patients with results when instructed by the doctor.
- Assisting patients/doctors with sourcing consultant appointments and liaising with consultants’ secretaries to facilitate the referral pathway.
- Managing patients’ requests for repeat prescriptions.
- Management of electronic patient records including registration of new patients.
- Scanning and internal distribution of incoming patient correspondence and results
- Booking couriers.
- Filing and preparation of session notes.
- Preparation of consultation room in advance of each session.
- Maintenance of tidiness, cleanliness and stock levels in the consultation room between appointments.
- Actioning recalls for Health Assessments and other time-sensitive patient needs.

Ideally you will have previous experience as a receptionist, exposure to medical/dental would be an added bonus, and will be looking to gain further experience in an administrative support role in a private healthcare setting.
The role will be clinic based, Mon-Fri 40 hours a week, generally between the hours of 8.30-6pm.0
