Busy Bee Recruitment are currently assisting with the recruitment of a **Higher Level Teaching Assistant**for their education client based in Dorney, near Slough.

The HLTA is a critical role taking the lead on planning and delivering lessons to groups of students and working one to one when needed. The role is supporting students within a therapeutic environment to access a bespoke curriculum, build relationshipswith others and communicate the world around them in a meaningful way.

**1-1 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities**:

- To manage and support young people and their families by building trusting relationships through the use of individual sessions, group work, family visits and other interventions.
- To provide support to the teacher/other learning support assistants/HLTA and young people.
- To consistently promote positive values, attitudes, and behaviour.
- To support young people in their learning and development in small groups or with individual young people as directed treating them with respect and consideration.
- To deliver weekly tutoring sessions to small groups in a specialist area such as music, art, play etc. - open to your best skillset
- To help raise standards of achievement for all.
- To encourage the social and emotional development
- To encourage young people to participate in all aspects of school life.
- To help young people to become more independent.
- To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all young people
- To embed safeguarding and inclusion principles at the heart of all

The successful HTLA will ideally hold a relevant qualification in working with young people and have previous experience working within a learning environment. They will understand the need to be committed to supporting student’s natural growth and developmentthrough educational learning with equal opportunities in mind. The successful applicant must hold GCSE qualifications in Maths and English as well as good levels of literacy.

This position is full time, working 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, term time only at this fantastic diverse school. The salary is £22,000 - £24,000 per annum dependent on experience.
