Transfer Station & Site Supervisor**

Salary **-**Up to £32,000.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours* - *Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15.30 (a degree of flexibility will be required )

What will you be doing?***
- Supervision of the Transfer Station.
- Supervise up to 3 employees within your team.
- Ensure the site has competent operational staff.
- Lead and train by example whilst on site.
- Act as deputy for the Operations Manager if required.
- Ensure clear communication between team members.
- Build relationships with hauliers,customers and all colleagues.
- Ensure staff are fully trained and identify areas of training needed.
- Assist in the management of bin stock and distribution.
- Maximise and utilise the fixed and mobile plant on site.
- Ensure the materials tipped at the Transfer Station are recycled and as much as possible is recovered.
- Ensure any defects or damages are reported.

What are we looking for?**

**Essential**:

- Health and Safety knowledge and experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Environmental knowledge and experience.

**Desirable**:

- CoTC (Certificate of Technical Competence).
- IOSH.
- First Aid Trained.
- Experience within the waste management industry in a supervisory role, with particular experience of operating transfer stations and waste movement
