Ecommerce Copywriter

**_Please note this role is predominantly working from home but you will be required to work 5-8 days per month from our office in Kemble._**

As part of the Outdoor and Cycle Concepts group, **_Cotswold Outdoor _**is joined by **_Runners Need _**and **_Snow + Rock _**to support outdoor enthusiasts by providing excellent customer service and a range of products from world leading brands, all whilst promoting and encouraging sustainability

**How will you make an impact?**
- Producing unique, best practice content within brand guidelines and in line with the eCommerce Strategy.
- Working with the wider eCommerce team to identify and prioritise opportunities to improve copy and general content throughout our websites including category pages, buying guides and homepages.
- Working with internal and external parties to produce suitable written content that is consistent with other channels to support our positioning as a leading Omnichannel retailer.
- Planning campaign and promotional creative across the sites to ensure consistent and effective messaging throughout the customer journey.
- Collaborating with suppliers and partners to update and edit brand pages and blogs.
- Seeking improvements to processes and efficiencies in creating and delivering content.
- Using your understanding of how customers use information throughout their purchase decision to present the appropriate content.
- Working with internal and external parties to maximise the distribution opportunities for content.
- Analysing and reporting on key metrics, then presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Supporting the wider eCommerce team in implementing online content onto the site using a Content Management System and third-party software.
- Please note this role is 40 hours per week._

**You’ll fit right in if you have**:

- Experience using a Content Management System
- An understanding of basic Search Engine Optimisation
- Experience with creative writing (ideally published online)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience reporting on and interpreting data
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines
- A passion for writing and an understanding of how this can drive conversion in eCommerce
- The drive to deliver a first-class customer experience
- Continual drive for improvement, challenging existing ways of working where appropriate.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to try new approaches, and learn from experiences
