**Precision Processing Services Ltd is a leading provider of chemical processing solutions. We specialise in thermos-chemical removal of contaminants from process equipment used within various industries across the UK, Europe and South America. As part of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team.**

**As Maintenance Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our chemical processing plant. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of plant equipment, with a focus on mechanical systems.**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Fabricate, weld, and install components as needed to repair or modify machinery and equipment.**:

- **Perform pipefitting work, including the installation and maintenance of piping systems for steam, air, water, and other fluids.**:

- **Conduct repairs and maintenance on general plumbing fixtures and systems throughout the plant.**:

- **Carry out preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.**:

- **Oversee the annual plant preventive maintenance schedule and coordinate maintenance activities accordingly.**:

- **Maintain control over spare parts inventory, including ordering and replenishment as needed.**:

- **Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.**:

- **Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards.**:

- **Provide training and support to other maintenance staff as required.**

**Qualifications / Background**:

- **Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role.**:

- **Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with steam plant, hydraulics, air systems, and general workshop maintenance.**:

- **Proficiency in fabrication, welding, pipefitting, and general plumbing techniques.**:

- **Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery and equipment.**:

- **Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and maintenance management systems.**:

- **Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage spare parts inventory effectively.**:

- **Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.**:

- **Relevant vocational or technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.**:

- **Valid Forklift licence.**:

- **Experience in the chemical processing industry is desirable.**
