This is a fantastic opportunity for a Bid Strategy Associate to join Corio Generation’s rapidly growing global offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Corio Generation's global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 20+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors. Corio was developed under the Green Investment Group and remains a subsidiary of Macquarie Group (Australia’s largest investment bank) so we have strong financial support to drive the business forward.

The Corio Bid Strategy function is responsible for managing competitive processes, advising bid teams, establishing the necessary market intelligence and advising the business on the status of bidding across the Corio origination and development portfolio. The role also works closely with Corio project owners and the regional teams, valuation and business performance team and external consultants to:
Your key accountabilities and wide role scope will be to:

- Identify and maintain a record of the global and active Corio bidding processes.
- Act as point of contact between regional and project teams and the bid strategy team.
- Provide management or support to the regional and project teams bid processes.
- Instigate and manage third party studies of competitor and markets.
- Support the bid strategy team to develop and implement tools to assist in competitor and market analysis.
- Support the bid strategy team to develop and implement tools along with the valuation team to assist in Corio competitiveness and bid evaluation.
- Support internal evaluation and approvals of project and site bid proposals.
- Develop a high level of professional credibility and knowledge and the ability to leverage internal/external specialist resources, so that the business actively seeks your input and can rely on your judgement.
- Support the technical valuation team developing Corio’s LCOE model and coordinate with regional modelling teams to understand project specific considerations.
- Support new markets team creating the relevant financial models to run the valuation of new project opportunities. This will feed the decision-making process when assessing the feasibility of the opportunity and how it can fit into Corio’s pipeline.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record within the offshore wind industry in bid management, bid strategy, business development in existing or new markets, market analysis or in another related role.

You will need to demonstrate drive and the ability to multi-task and pro-actively take ownership and management of issues/projects as well as have a demonstrable capability to deliver outputs in short timeframes. Desirable experience will also include strong understanding of the offshore wind business, business development and market regulatory trends, as well as/or experience in working on behalf of an offshore wind developer or development with exposure to the business case modelling.
