Independent Regulation 44 Visitor

Since 2002, we have been "reaching out and changing lives". Blue Mountain Homes is an established yet progressive company, operating Residential Children’s Homes and Independent Schools across the UK.
The independent person is required to visit our children’s homes at least once a month, the purpose of the visit is to establish that our children are effectively safeguarded and the conduct of the home promotes children’s well-being. Following the visit, a report must be written and any recommendations to be actioned are fed back to the Registered Manager and Care Director.
These reports are also a requirement for Ofsted, local authority upon request and the responsible individual.
**Key Skills required**:
Ability to engage with young people and professionals
Report writing essential
Willing to travel essential
Experienced as Registered Manager Children’s Residential Care
Knowledge of Ofsted Quality standards
**Qualifications**: Minimum of NVQ level 4 in Health and Social care
Must be able to make impartial decisions in regards to the regulations being met in each home
Be able to work to strict timescales.
Have excellent communication skills
**Salary: Up to £ 32,500 per annum (Fulltime)**
**We are looking for someone to work 4 days a week. Salary: £26,000**
This position requires the post holder to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Included: fuel allowance, laptop, mobile phone.
