**THE ROLE**

We're seeking for an ambitious and lateral thinking Junior Compliance Officer to assist with the development our Compliance function globally.

The role encompasses fulfilment of the FCA requirements to meet the obligations set out in the FCA Handbook and any other applicable law and regulation, a monitoring role in respect of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and an advisory role in respect of the drafting, completion and maintenance of Policies and Procedures.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Working alongside NextEnergy Capital professionals, this will be an integral role in the Compliance team:

- Working with the Global Head of Compliance to promote a strong risk and compliance culture
- Responsibility for **FCA Regulatory Filings** and advise on the rules associated with the Firm’s current and proposed business activities
- Assist with the establishment, update and advisory on written **Policies and Procedures** including the **Compliance Manual and Compliance Register**:

- Undertake reviews as part of the **Compliance Monitoring Plan**:

- Assume day-to-day **responsibility for Compliance dashboard** including information maintenance on compliance-related issues (e.g. breach of regulations, conflicts, Personal Account Dealing Information, preparation and deployment of compliance training)
- **Liaising with other stakeholders** in the firm, including Finance, HR, IT providing co-operation and commercially focused compliance advice
- Any other task assigned from time to time or arising from initiatives of NextEnergy group of companies.

**SKILLS & COMPETENCIES**

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- **IT Literacy** - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (you should have at least intermediate-level excel)
- **Delivery focus** - it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous compliance experience and relevant compliance qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously and work in a highly organized and methodical way with accurate record keeping
- The person should demonstrate a high degree of self-reliance and self-motivation and should be able to take initiative for problem resolution
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and quality standards
- Ability to demonstrate integrity in all tasks and functions performed
- Some knowledge of compliance monitoring procedures and reporting
- The right to work in the UK.
