£12,770 per annum (£21,000 FTE)

**The role**

We are looking for a positive and professional caretaker to join our housing team to provide the essential cleaning and caretaking services in the communal areas of properties for our more vulnerable customers. If you enjoy working directly with customers and take pride in delivering high standards of work we would be interested in hearing from you.

**What we need**

For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience;
- Able to work individually or collaboratively with other team members, staff and external contractors; prioritise own workload but also follow a schedule.
- You will be expected to carry out general cleaning duties, assist with large item removal and to carry out general minor repairs.
- You will be proactive in helping assess for maintenance issues, health and safety including reporting building defects and completing basic compliance checks.
- You will need to have strong customer service and communication skills.
- A good knowledge of neighbourhood cleanliness including safe working practices would be beneficial but not essential.
- You will demonstrate good decision-making skills
- You will take pride in consistently providing a high standard of customer service as you will be acting as a Selwood Housing representative when on site.
- You will have experience of working to achieve agreed deadlines
- You will need to be computer literate with a basic knowledge of how to operate Microsoft packages and a willingness to undertake further training, as required.
