We are looking for an individual who enjoys working outside with your main responsibilities including, maintaining the yard, keeping it clean and tidy at all times, loading and unloading vehicles and ensuring the safe and efficient running of our yard.

Safety is a key part of this role and you will be expected to do your duties in line with our high safety standards including operating the forklift at a safe speed keeping in mind other users' and pedestrians' safety.

Your strong customer service/communication skills and continuous improvement mind-set is key for you to support the smooth running of our yard.
- Unloading and the arranging of our yards’ incoming deliveries
- Checking in of all stock
- Maintaining high standards of stock handling
- Use of Fork Lift Trucks - a fork lift license is preferred but not essential as on-site training will be given
- The ability to work under pressure and to multi task
- Helping our nursery team to unload crates of plants if required
- Moving trees to the nursery and putting them safely into the storage area
- Reasonable level of fitness
- Maintaining of the yard and general house-keeping

Any other duties deemed as reasonable within the scope of the job role previous experience of working in a similar position will be an advantage.

Please note, due to the nature of our deliveries, this position will involve regular manual handling and some heavy lifting.

Pay dependent on experience.

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
