**The Role of the Technical Applications Specialist**:

- Big push currently on a new Phaco product that is taking the market by storm.
- Support the clinical base with new product demos & trails.
- Provide clinical support to both customer and the internal team (solving first line defects)
- Assist where needed in the service and maintenance of these industry leading surgical ophthalmic products.
- Look for opportunities to up sell & cross sell other products in the portfolio whilst in theatre.
- Test and check equipment for technical specifications and support in filling/checking tenders’ specification sheets.
- Guiding surgeons through the operation ensuring the products are being used in the best way.
- Covering the North West & West Scotland (Most of the business will be around the NW but there will be times where you will need to travel further afield and spend nights away from home for demos & installations)

- £50k-£60k basic salary
- £18k bonus (Very achievable) with accelerators in place for over achievement

**The Ideal Person for the Technical Applications Specialist**:

- Experience in Ophthalmology highly advantageous.
- Must have a stable career history with a proven track record of success.
- Must have operating room/theatre exposure and understand the inner workings of that environment.
- Will also consider clinical background such as scrub nurses, OPD's etc that can demonstrate the skills outlined and looking to make a move into a more commercial role.
- Willing to travel and spend nights away from home when required for demos & installations.
- Very good communication skills, self-motivated and be able to work independently.
- Service oriented and familiar with operating theatre protocol
- Excellent training and presentation skills
- Team player with a strong desire to meet customer needs.
