As Maintenance Assistant/Trainee you will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Engineer in the upkeep and maintenance of the whole business from basic plumbing to NC machines. The role is based at our Preston site assisting in the day-to-day maintenanceof a busy manufacturing unit.

**What will your role as a Maintenance Assistant/Trainee look like?**
- Carrying out support duties as directed by the Maintenance Engineer
- Fetching tools/parts/equipment
- Tidying/cleaning/housekeeping duties
- Certain plant and building maintenance tasks
- Carrying out daily preventative maintenance tasks of the manufacturing plant, according to a schedule, under the guidance of the Maintenance Engineer
- Liaising with third party engineers or contractors for work beyond our scope
- Liaising with suppliers/local wholesalers
- Provide support to departments or teams like H & S or Technical
