**ABOUT THE RACECOURSE**:
Ascot Racecourse is horse racing's most iconic venue, hosting the Royal Meeting, the world's most famous and watched festival. Royal Ascot is broadcast to over 200 countries with audiences in the many millions, has a history spanning over 300 years and is the cornerstone of the British social scene. Its unique blend of top-class racing, fashion, fine dining, pageantry and glamour make it a place Like Nowhere Else. With other stunning racedays and a year-round calendar of events to support, Ascot is a flourishing business and a fantastic place to work.
Ascot hosts around 600,000 racegoers a year across 26 race days, 300,000 of whom come to the five days of Royal Ascot. Royal Ascot capacity can reach an attendance of 75,000 on a day. Ascots conference and events business welcomes a further 200,000 guests a year outside of racing.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
As part of our Grandstand Stewarding Team, you will be helping to deliver excellent customer service and a safe and enjoyable experience to all our guests visiting Ascot. Areas managed include fine dining, upgrade areas and the main hustle and bustle of the race day.
This is casual role working on Ascot Racedays and the 5 days of Royal Ascot. As it is a stewarding position, standing for long periods of time in one position is required.
What will the role involve?
- Answering guest queries
- Monitoring access and egress points
- Providing information and directions to guests
- Reporting any suspicious behaviour
- Reporting any accidents or incidents via radio
- Standing for long periods of time during the day
- Working an 8-hour shift per day as a minimum
- Work up to 26 race days per year
- Undertake training and e-learning courses as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Desirable Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety or Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
**WHAT WE OFFER**:
The opportunity to be a part of 'a place like nowhere else' and be part of our customer service team. Daily lunch will be provided and we will be paying £11.95 per hour (plus holiday pay).
