**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**ROLE**: Trusts & Estates Senior Associate
**REPORTING TO: Trusts & Estates Manager**
**ROLE SUMMARY**: You will review and support tax compliance work of associates and assistants and work with senior members of the private client tax team to provide coordinated advice and solutions to our clients.
You will ideally be CTA or ACCA qualified or working towards and have experience in managing a portfolio of clients and basic tax advisory work.
You will have an in-depth understanding of the taxation of UK individuals, trusts and estates.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Business Services
- Prepare complex trust accounts and trust and individual tax returns for manager review, working to client and internal deadlines
- Produce pieces of technical research, well-supported by relevant legislation and guidance issued by tax authorities
- Support managers with the management of portfolios and communications with clients
- Undertake basic tax advisory work for trusts and high net worth individuals and support tax managers with complex advisory work
- Review and support tax associates and tax assistants with day-to-day tax compliance
- Responsible for all aspects of tax compliance on a portfolio of clients
- Prepare CGT computations and disclosures
**Team**
- Day to day support of Tax Associates and Assistants, ensuring they remain engaged, interested and feel fully able to succeed in their role
- Contribute towards internal training workshops for the team. Seek out opportunities for staff to further develop their knowledge and keep up to date with legislation and best practice
- Delegate responsibility to individuals to make them accountable for successful execution but retain ownership of the timely and accurate output
- Contribute to team meetings and put forward ideas and feedback to improve ways of working
