Quality Controller

_**FLAMINGO GIFTING require an additional QC within our Hampers Division**_
- **Pay Rate: £11.24 - £12.01 dependant on experience**_
- **Rota Pattern: Monday to Friday 5-day 07:00hrs to 16:30hrs (additional hours including some weekend working during peak periods)**_
- **Job Purpose**_
To monitor the quality of product throughout the entire production process, from Intake to despatch, and during its storage.
- **Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications**_
- To have experience in all aspects of QC, and all production systems.
- Having previous experience in a food environment would be desirable
- **General Areas of Responsibility and Principle Accountabilities**:_
- **1.Efficiency.**_
- To ensure Intake area's are able to work efficiently and safely, by examining product as quickly as possible.
- To ensure Production are able to pack at an efficient speed, and with a Right First Time approach.
- To ensure that all product is packed in line with current specification and product is from the correct sources if any deviation this must be highlighted and reported to the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager
- To ensure that no product is packed without a temporary specification
- To be able to gather facts an develop solutions and make decisions
- To be able to be a self starter and proceed without being told every detail
- Be able to respond effectively to changing needs of the department
- To be able to prioritise and plan to achieve job objectives
- To understand the Quality Procedures and Policies of the business
- Understanding date coding
- Report any quality concerns to the Quality supervisor or Quality manager
- To know specifications of all product
- Ability to maintain a positive approach and supportive environment within the QC team and production team
- **2. Rework**_
- Minimise the level of rework through a Right First Time approach to production.
- **3. Administration.**_
- To be able to communicate verbally and written as related to job specification
- To ensure that all QA paperwork is completed, clearly and accurately and in a timely order
- **4. Hygiene and Housekeeping.**_
- Ensure that the QA areas are maintained at the highest level.
- **5. Health and Safety.**_
- To ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to
- To report breaches of health and safety to the Quality Manager
- To report potential health and safety issues to the Quality Manager
- To keep all workspaces clean and tidy.
- Report any equipment faults to the Quality Manager immediately
- Ensure the correct PPE is worn in correct areas
- Understanding Risk Assessments and SSOW
- To understand Health & safety procedures and recycling policy
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
