**Introduction**

This document provides an overview of the responsibility, leading and supporting task, experience, knowledge, personal traits & skills of the Credit Controller. It concerns a complete Credit Controller responsibility with a strong focus on the customer, accuracy of detail and meeting reporting deadlines.

**Responsibility**

As the main representative, the Credit Controller has a key role in the organisation. The Credit Controller is responsible for a wide range of tasks such asmanaging the customer accounts, reconciling payments and statements, communicating with customers to obtain payments and working with internal stakeholders such as the Sales teams and Customer Services to resolve invoices queries and disputes.

**Tasks**

The Credit controller proactively initiates, executes, develops and evaluates in good cooperation with relevant employees, peers and Group MD timely the following tasks:
**Leading (Expert Function)**
- Raising Manual invoices
- Reconciling Customer accounts
- Chasing payments (working with Customer Services to manage advance payments)
- Month end Debtors ledger reconciliations
- Analysis of aged Debtors
- Maintaining Credit control procedures and identifying improvements
- Maintain a good relationship with customers
- Perform credit checks
- Posting cash receipt transactions
- Monitoring and processing finance orders.

**Supporting (Support Function)**
- Work with internal departments to resolve customer queries or disputes
- Admin support and reporting to finance team as required
- Ad hoc work as requested by the company
- Cash forecasting and reporting of collections
- Covering accounts payable duties during holiday periods.

**Background & Experience**
- **Essential**_
- IT literate (especially Excel)
- ERP Experience
- GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Maths.
- **Desirable**_
- Experience using Infor LN ERP system.

**Specific remarks**

Specific remarks concerning the job of the Credit Controller are:

- Reporting to the Finance Manager
- Work closely with the whole finance department including Cheif Finance Director.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
