Vacancy Description: Trainee Joiner / Refractory Worker

Number of Positions Available: 2

Hourly Wage £: 7.49-10.42

Working Week: 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday: 8 Hour per day.

Overtime available with ‘shutdown’ work.

Vacancy Location: Warrington - WA1 2HT initially, aiming to be on project work globally.

Possible Start Date: ASAP

Tab Refractories are renowned for high quality refractory design and installations worldwide. We have grown into one of the world’s leading independent refractory installation company’s specializing in non-ferrous metals melting, aluminum smelting and holding furnaces.

**Job Description**:
The potential trainees will be involved in producing mold boxes and shuttering for casting of large refractory blocks.

You'll need to be able to follow technical drawings and plans, as well as being good at math’s to measure and calculate angles. You'll also need to be fit and happy to work on your own as well as part of a team.

We are looking for a hard-working, young, energetic apprentice with a strong passion in Joinery.

This is a great opportunity for the young apprentices to develop a career in a specialized construction Industry.

If you have some construction experience and entry level qualifications and are looking to progress within the industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Skills, Duties and Responsibilities:

- Proven interest in Joinery
- Good common sense.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Good numeracy skills
- Able to work under pressure.
- Organizational skills, planning and time management.
- Carry out relevant trade duties on responsive and planned works as requested to Client Specifications.
- Work as part of a team and use materials safely.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and managers to ensure the effectiveness of the repairs and maintenance services.
- Be aware of risk assessments and method statements relating to own area of work and to work in safe manner taking account other people’s health and well-being.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
