**DRIVER'S MATE**

**MONDAY - SATURDAY: 06.00 & 10.30 START TIMES**

**£12.34 PER HOUR**

People Solutions are pleased to be working with a well-known home furnishing company to support their delivery network across the UK.

Working Monday to Saturday, with part time and full-time hours available, you will be a key part of the delivery team.

**Day to Day Duties**
- As the face of the business in the local area, your day will start with you spending time ensuring you have everything needed for the day ahead
- Delivering furniture, home furnishings and white goods to customer’s homes
- Using a hand-held computer device to act as a routing system and obtain customer signatures for deliveries, as well as ringing ahead of a delivery to ensure the customer is at home
- Completing daily checks to ensure you have everything needed to be delivered for the day
- Manual handling is involved in this role as you will be assisting the driver to deliver items

**Essential Skills**
- Good time keeping
- A professional appearance and attitude, & confident when dealing with people
- The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Familiar with manual handling of heavier items

**Desirable Experience**

Experience in a similar delivery role would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

**Training**

Training on the PDA scanners, manual handling and routing systems will be provided.
