**Purpose of Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced barista trainer to join our Training Team on a full-time basis for a fixed term contract of 12 months.
In your new role as Barista Trainer, you will visit our customer's retail sites to analyse training needs, offer coaching and training support and help drive standards and quality to improve audit results and sales. You will have responsibility and accountabilityfor carrying out coffee quality checks as well as delivering barista training to the staff on site. You will meet the training needs in line with the contracted terms, scheduling your time for planned and reactive training requirements.
This role is well-suited to someone who loves working with coffee and training, and is looking to progress their career within the field and settling into a Monday to Friday routine.
**As part of this team you would be required to**:

- Deliver training sessions of all levels at customer sites and in customer or Matthew Algie training centres
- Audit area accounts each quarter to monitor progress & assess training needs in line with the brand standards
- Deliver and evaluate external & internal training
- Manage training requirements within designated area
- Evaluate own performance to continually improve customer & colleague support
- Desire to continually develop coffee knowledge & share with others
- Act as an ambassador for the department and company
**Experience**:

- Essential
- Relevant experience in a hospitality environment
- Full valid UK drivers licence with post-pass driving experience
- Experience of administration, planning and organisation
- Experience of working as a barista
**Desirable**:

- Experience in retail sector
- Experience in multi-site organisation or field-based role
- Experience in a similar role as a senior barista or barista trainer
**Skills / Knowledge**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to build rapport with customers and colleagues across the organisation
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisation skills to manage own workload to expected standards
- Ability to deliver creative and engaging training sessions
- Ability to identify different learning styles and adapt training to meet the needs of all trainees
- Ability to demonstrate strong barista skills and efficiency
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow direction and work within agreed parameters
- Good listening skills
