**An immediate and exciting vacancy for a Manufacturing Planner, based at our design and manufacturing facility in Glasgow. A key role, supporting the planning of material, release and management of works orders in support of the site Master Production Schedule.**
**A full time position, working 37 hours flexi time across 4 days (Mon - Thurs).**
**Our Opportunity**
As a Manufacturing Planner, you will join a friendly, customer focused Planning team and be responsible for execution of the agreed 13 week plan in support of the Master Planner and APRU Manager. Day to day duties include;
- Efficient management of the Oracle ASCP Workbench including:
- Timely release of planned orders
- Management of ERP exception messages
- Execution of Autonomous Product and Repair Unit targets from release of planned orders to completion to stock
- Maintenance and management of parts supply through the ERP System including:
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure materials are available for required dates
- Ensuring all materials are kitted to Shop Floor on time in support of production activities.
- Maintenance and management of work orders to include progress, shortages, schedule adherence, closure
- Identify any deviations from the 13 week plan and where necessary take remedial action to achieve objectives and minimise re-scheduling. This includes supporting the non-conformance, MRB and RTV processes.
- Understanding Industry and Business KPI’s and be focused on delivering on
- time to customer.
- First point of contact for Stores and Shop Floor Technicians in resolving material issues.
- Support further activities surrounding Line of Balance, Short Interval Meetings, Strike Rate & Data Analysis/Accuracy.
- Supporting Engineering Change ensuring the control of material from design to manufacture.
**About You**
- Strong knowledge of the key principles of ERP
- Effective communicator confident in dealing with all levels of management
- Analytical thinker capable of developing solutions
- Delivery orientated with can do attitude
- Capable of analysing data and using this data to make informed decisions or escalate for support.
- Experience in Supply Chain activities - Planning / Purchasing / Logistics / Delivery
- Practical experience in continuous improvement and problem solving techniques
- High degree of Information Technology knowledge and skill
- Experience and understanding of industry standard metrics, and using this to drive improvements
