**Your purpose (in a nutshell)**

Providing assessments, training, instruction and development for the Evri driver population across the regional sites (Hubs and Depots) you support. This role will principally deliver both new drivers and upskilling of current drivers along with the provision of similar services to third parties where appropriate. The role will deliver the continuous improvement of the day-to-day effectiveness of the Hermes distribution network, maintaining professionalism and the company's standards to meet all relevant legal requirements in the UK.

**You will be accountable for**:

- Delivering high calibre driving tuition to drivers who are working to obtain their Cat C and / or their Cat C+E licences, including through apprenticeship levy funded programmes.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping in line with applicable legislation, regulations, and business requirements.
- Delivering new driver training solutions with direction from the Senior Instructor and Driving Academy Manager as per the business requirements. This includes training drivers on new equipment.
- Where applicable supporting new site start-ups on all driver training related matters, including assessments and inductions.
- Continually drive Transport Operations legal compliance, identifying individual development opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Delivering and sustaining a high first-time pass rate of delegates during training and assessments.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- A full Cat C+E LGV driving licence
- Award in Education and Training (Level 3) qualification
- RTITB National Register of Instructors (NRI) qualification (_desirable_)
- Transport Manager CPC qualification (_desirable_)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Logistics industry, Minimum 2 years training exp
- Comprehensive knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- A working knowledge of Working time and Road transport directive
