Tesco Bank operates 5.2 million customer accounts and has c£6.5Bn in assets. The ‘Help me Borrow’ business is an integral part of Tesco Bank’s product offering; managing Credit Cards and Loans and contributing more than 50% of the profitability of the bank.

At Tesco Bank we’ve recently reorganised ourselves to operate in an Agile way; the Head of Customer Acquisition sits within the Banking function and focuses on customer borrowing.

Tesco Bank is a top 5 UK lender, however, there is a strong ambition to continue to grow and transform the unsecured lending business, leveraging the wider Tesco Group assets (e.g. Clubcard Analytics) to ensure we continue to meet the borrowing needs of Tesco customers. This role is crucial as it sits as part of the leadership team shaping the future of Tesco Bank.

The Head of Customer Acquisition is accountable for all aspects of how we acquire customers across the Borrow Value Stream focusing primarily on Credit Cards and Loans and covering everything from attracting customers to onboarding them. They have end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of customer acquisition, including marketing, journey optimisation, pricing and decisioning. They will drive the development of the priorities, plan, and performance outcomes in line with our overarching customer strategy. They are also responsible for delivering these priorities and outcomes by building and leading multi-functional teams of SMEs from across the bank to achieve value for Borrow Value Stream and Customers.

- Demonstrate Credit Cards and Loans experience: recruiting balances and pricing to manage balance sheet requirements.
- Agile Ways of Working: experience of working in an agile manner and organising teams around customer value.
- Utilise your significant experience of customer acquisition.
- Be a strong team leader and cultural ambassador for change.

Deep understanding of Customer and Market Analysis to that enable maximum return on investments. **The Role**
- Take responsibility for all aspects of a life cycle of a product or set of products, including long
- and short-term development and marketing. Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position.
- Develop the strategy for a significant area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities. Ensure the strategy is successfully implemented and meets medium term business needs.
- Lead the development, presentation, and continuous review of product and project business cases; make evidence-based recommendations on the initiation and termination of key projects.
- Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
- Develop pricing strategies for one or more products in alignment with business and product strategies. Develop robust and credible value arguments for these products.
- Leadership -of a mixed group of direct and indirect reports giving clarity and guidance on the business area strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values;; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
- Risk Compliance - Ensure that business activities within a significant area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes

This is a certified role.
