Join the team at Lakefields Neurological Centre as a Night Co-ordinator and manage the staffing requirements across the hospital ensuring clinical safety.

Reporting to our Deputy Care Centre Director, the Night Co-Ordinator will work to ensure the safe and appropriate management of the site throughout the night-time delivery of care. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the hospital at night, providing leadership and support to the unit-based nursing teams, and clinical supervision as and when required.

**What you will be doing**
- To obtain a full handover from the day co-ordinator and the beginning of the shift and to handover fully to the following day co-ordinator.
- To complete 2 hourly patient IMHC reviews if required.
- To offer clinical guidance and supportby attending incidents that may occur on site.
- To ensure that all Section 17 leave paperwork for the following day if required has been completed and is legal.
- To ensure that security checks are undertaken on the wards and that all staff are adhering to the procedural and physical security of the hospital.
- To follow the NCO check list as a guide.
- To ensure CCAP are completed for any Welsh patient incidents.
- To ensure patient observations are completed safely and that staff carrying these out are signed off as competent to do so.
- Ensure new staff to the hospital are inducted correctly. To take the lead in this when/if required.
- To identify any night time cost pressures with the budget responsibilities and take steps to minimise/eradicate their impact on the budget
- To actively promote the workplace as a learning environment encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice.
- To undertake the key count and to sign as per procedureat the beginning of the evening shift

**Things that you will have**:

- Experience of working as a Senior Staff Nurse or equivalent role
- Post-registration experience, ideally working in more than one clinical area provided at the hospital
- To be responsive and flexible
- To be able to lead the hospital at night and ensure the principals of safe delivery are always adhered to

**Where you will be working**

Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life. The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.

Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.
