**Responsibilities**:

- Process and reconcile supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including purchasing and operations, to ensure smooth invoice processing and resolve any invoice-related queries.
- Conduct regular supplier statement reconciliations, proactively addressing any outstanding issues.
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payment terms.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including invoice approvals and payment details.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, such as accruals and reconciliations, in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor and manage the company's expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations related to purchase ledger processes, suggesting improvements, and implementing best practices.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is essential.
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and financial controls.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Knowledge of the bathroom and tiles industry is a plus.
