Marketing Events Specialist

The Role

This role is in a new team so there is scope for the role to be developed further. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Development and working alongside the Marketing Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing an event marketing strategy including goals, objectives, and target audiences
- Support Advisers in helping to plan, create, and coordinate events (in person and online) and exhibitions on their behalf.
- Coordinating with event vendors to ensure that all elements of the event are delivered as planned
- Organising events and finding attendees
- Planning and promoting events amongst our Adviser team.
- Coordinating with agencies to ensure that all materials are printed or created in time for the event
- Reviewing marketing materials created by outside vendors and approving them before they are used in an event marketing campaign
- Managing the design and production of flyers, brochures, posters, banners, and other print materials used for marketing events
- Communicating with clients to address concerns or answer questions about an event’s progress
- Coordinating speaker arrangements and arranging venues.
- Researching trends in event planning to develop new ideas for future events
- Reporting on feedback & attendance at events.

Experience and abilities:

- Around 2 years of current/recent events experience
- Business Development background
- Experience in Financial Services is preferable
- Proven experience in coordinating events from start to finish.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships
- A team player who is practical and hands-on, yet able to take a strategic view
- Self-starter, organised, and determined with good attention to detail
- Effective project management with a proven track record of driving forward event initiatives
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of marketing communications activities especially online
- Experience in measuring marketing results and benchmarking performance
