Join a leading Defence & Aerospace organisation as an Environment Health & Safety Specialist.

This role aims to enhance the current EHS team, aligning with the expanding defence and aerospace operations in the UK. It will focus on offering hands-on assistance to both management and staff, facilitating the attainment of elevated EHS standards at this site, while also extending support to additional regional locations as needed.

**The Role**:
**So, what will you be doing as an Environment Health & Safety Specialist?**
- The objective of this position is to provide practical assistance to management and employees in achieving a high standard of EHS performance.
- Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
- Conducts program reviews, investigates incidents, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assesses workplace hazards and provides input for new business ventures and facility projects to ensure compliance.
- Delivers education and training to support regulatory and business needs.
- Evaluates the impact of new regulations on company operations.
- Reviews vendor, contractor, and supplier activities for EHS compliance in line with site processes and program objectives.
- This role encompasses oversight of operations at the site, along with providing support to other regional sites.
- Responsibilities include providing day-to-day EHS support for risk assessment, procedures, communications, inspections, training, observations, emergency protocols, accident investigations, and environmental compliance and sustainability.
- This position collaborates closely with the wider regional EHS team.

Preferable Qualifications:

- Aircraft hangar maintenance environment experience
