**Warehouse Goods In Operative - Five Oak Green, Tonbridge, Kent.**

**Location **This role is based in our office in Five Oak Green, Tonbridge, Kent

**Salary and work pattern. ** Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications for the role. You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week, with any hours over 40 being paid at time and half. Shift times available 08:30am - 17:00 Monday - Friday (30 mins unpaid lunch break) / 12:00noon-20:30hrs Monday - Friday (30 mins unpaid lunch break)

**Job Type. **Full-time, permanent

**The role**

As Goods In / Goods Out Operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.

Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body.
- Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
- Assigning barcodes or labelling products on check in
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Rotating stock and reloading items on shelves
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a demand.
- Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.
- Stock counting and location checks.

**Experience**
- Experience in a related industry (desirable) full training will be given.
- Some experience of working in a fast-paced, target driven environment.
- Good attention to detail when working quickly.
- Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your ability.
- Basic PC and PDA skills. (desirable)
- Good timekeeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Friendly and professional demeanor

Happy to work independently whilst communicating to the team.

Loading and unloading skills

Use of technology including PDA’s and Phone apps

High and unpredictable workload - a flexible attitude is required.

This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to work closely with the warehouse team. There will be manual lifting involved in picking, packing, and loading of van. We will ask you to always reflect the company’s values.
