**1. COMPANY INFORMATION**

Ausom Vehicle Management Limited “AVM” was established in 2007 and provides specialist inspection and appraisal services to motor vehicle manufacturers, their logistics partners and marine cargo insurers for UK delivered movements. Our core purpose is to uphold approved repair methodologies, dependent upon the status of the vehicle and ensure least cost opportunities are exploited.

**2. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**

Our motor engineers form the key part of our technical team having daily interaction with our customers and body shop repairers both in person and by phone and will be responsible for:
1. Receiving notification of new instructions from our operating software (ACARIS)
2. Checking vehicle at the location of the estimate
3. Preparing an itinerary for the next 2/3 days based upon geographic work area
4. Undertaking a physical appraisal of the damaged vehicle and discussing, negotiating and agreeing costs with the repairer
5. Communicating the appraisal and agreed repair costs outcome by phone, through ACARIS or by specific mini templated report
6. Preparing weekly activity statistics

**3. EDUCATION AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**

**Experience/Personal Attributes**
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in a body shop as an estimator or working in a similar role
- Knowledge of Audatex or a similar estimating system
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and motivate those around you
- Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines
- Excellent personal organisation

**4. DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Field Work **Undertaking a damaged vehicle appraisal in person or via images**
- Assessing appropriate repair methodologies
- Formulating an opinion as to reasonable times, materials and parts as well as ensuring in place rates and discounts are applied
- Agreeing the least cost opportunity with the repairer
- Reporting the findings with the office coordinators or client
- Preparing template reports if needed
- Identify issues of concern and advise the Operations Director
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support client service levels
- Support to other Key Account Management Team colleagues who interface at management level of the client to deliver a co
- ordinated service

Team Support **Interface with colleagues responsible for oversight day to day work levels, understand issues that arise and support resolutions**
- Attend internal and external meetings when required
- Support team achievement of handling lead times
- Work with Accounting colleagues to ensure efficient payment processes for dealer and other claims
