Job Summary:
We are Fine French Patisserie Production Kitchen seeking a reliable and hardworking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. We require someone 40hrs per week between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm over 7 days in the week being necessity.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean and organized and that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitised. You will work closely with the Pastry Chefs and other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.

For the right person there is also opportunity to progress within the role as Kitchen Assistant and learn the art of Fine French Patisserie.

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Sweep and mop floors, and empty garbage and recycling bins
- Assist with food preparation as required
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, and report any issues or concerns to the Head Chef
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required
- Participate in training and development activities as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chefs

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, and the ability to follow health and safety procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
