**Job Title** - Grant Writer
**Hours** - 37 hours per week
**Location** - Glasgow City Centre
**Contract** - Permanent
**Salary** - £50,000 + performance related bonuses
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
- Stay informed about relevant funding trends, policies, and priorities.
- Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to develop compelling grant proposals.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant narratives that effectively communicate the organisation’s mission and goals.
- Follow up on submitted proposals and provide additional information as requested by funders.
- Monitor and track the progress of submitted grants on behalf of our valued clients. Prepare and submit grant reports to funders as required.
- Collaborate with program managers, researchers, and other team members to gather information for proposals.
- Ensure that all grant proposals and reports comply with the guidelines and requirements of funding organisations.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential funders and grant-making organisations.
**About You**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as; English, Communications, Nonprofit Management etc.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong research skills to identify and pursue relevant grant opportunities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes for grant proposals.
- Understanding of nonprofit organisations and their funding mechanisms.
