Retail Butcher

Our company, Farm2Table, is a small business located in the Bishops Stortford area that specializes in providing high-quality, locally-sourced meat products to our customers. We are looking for a skilled and experienced butcher to lead our retail department and manage our online trade and small retail counter.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail department, including ordering and receiving inventory, preparing meat products, and managing customer orders.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, ensuring that all equipment is properly sanitized and in good working condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions about meat products and making recommendations based on customers' needs and preferences.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase online sales and promote the Farm2Table brand.
- Manage and update the company's online store, ensuring that all products are accurately listed and described.
- Work with local farmers and suppliers to source high-quality meat products, ensuring that all products meet the company's standards for quality and sustainability.
- Train and supervise other staff members in the retail department, ensuring that all team members are knowledgeable about meat products and provide excellent customer service.

**Requirements**:

- At least 3 years of experience as a retail butcher, with a strong understanding of traditional butchery methods and an appreciation for locally-sourced, sustainable meat.
- Experience managing an online store and using social media for marketing purposes.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to help others.
- Flexibility to work Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.

**Salary**:
The salary for this position in the range of 30k per year, depending on experience.
