**About Us**

Kibworth Mead Academy, located in the pretty Leicestershire village of Kibworth Beauchamp, is one of five secondary schools in The Mead Educational Trust (TMET) and since joining TMET real improvements have been seen in our school, something reflected in our very recent Good Ofsted inspection.

TMET is a growing partnership of primary and secondary schools situated in the East Midlands, which provides its schools access to high quality professional development and outstanding educational networks, such as Rushey Mead and Castle Mead Academies.

Our aim at Kibworth Mead is that all students receive the opportunities to be successful, confident and responsible young people equipped with academic qualifications as well as the personal and social skills to enable them to make a positive difference to their community and the wider world. To achieve this we have three core values which underpin all aspects of our school:
1. Work Hard - We promote resilience, positivity and determination so our students learn that success needs hard work, effort and they develop the strength to persevere.

2. Be Kind
- We aim to develop respectful, tolerant students who are kind to everyone.

3. Be Proud - We aim to develop a sense of pride in our students. A pride in their achievements, conduct and most importantly themselves.

As well as developing these values in our students, we aim to provide an environment whereby all our staff can flourish by supporting both their professional development and well-being, something highlighted in our recent inspection when inspectors commented ‘ Staff are proud and motivated to work at this school and feel that their well-being and workload are well considered’.

**The Role**

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, to join our hugely improved SEND team, something noted in our recent inspection:
‘The provision for pupils with SEND has improved. Pupils’ needs are accurately identified. Teachers use ‘advice cards’ to adapt teaching so that these pupils can achieve well.’

‘The curriculum is ambitious for all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)’

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team which contains HTLAs, an ELSA, SEND administrator, a team of high experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants and to be lined managed by our Vice Principal who has a wealth of experience from working in special schools. In addition to this, the successful applicant will benefit from the guidance and support from our Trust wide SENDCo and Trust SEND networks, whereby best practice can be shared with schools like Orchard Mead, Castle Mead and Rushey Mead.
