Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working exclusively with our client who are looking for a Deputy Care Manager to join their team who provide live-in support and Domiciliary care visits to individuals in their own homes. This is a new role that will be supportingthe Registered Manager. Whilst the Deputy Care Manager role is managerial, there will be an expectation to provide hands on care when required. You will have access to a pool car for all work related business
- Drive and have own transport
- Have previous relevant experience
- Have a positive work ethic with a warm nature and good communication skills
- Be prepared to be hands-on caring as well as managing
- Have NVQ level 3 as a minimum but ideally NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Have good knowledge of CQC guidelines and compliance requirements
- Have experience of caring out care reviews and assessments
- Have previous leadership and management experience

Job Duties
- Assisting with the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of our client providing quality care to meet the client’s needs and outcomes.
- You will work closely with the Registered Care Manager and take on the Management duties in their absence.
- Undertaking the direct supervision and line management responsibilities of the domiciliary and live in care workers as detailed by the Registered Care Manager.
- Ensuring that the care and support provided by care workers is of a continually high standard and supports the client in a person centred and strength-based approach.
- To assist in the initial assessments of new clients and ensure regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments are maintained.
- Ensuring all aspects of the company business is in line with CQC guidelines and that continued CQC compliance is maintained.
- Reporting any crucial issues to the senior management team in a timely and effective manner.
- Undertaking out of hours / on call duties (weekdays and weekends) on a regular rota basis. (approx once a month)
- Being flexible to meet the needs of the service and cover care calls when the business requires

This role would suit someone who is a Deputy Care Manager or who has been a Registered Manager and is looking to take a step back.
