Canteen Assistant

CANTEEN ASSISTANTS REQUIRED ASAP.

20-30 TO 01;30 NIGHT SHIFT SUNDAY TO THURSDAY

07;30 TO 14;00 DAY SHIFT MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Tasks are:

- assisting with cooking ,cleaning ,Cash & Card handling, breakfast prep, washing up, stocking shelves with drinks etc.. and any other general duties required.

**1. Job purpose**
- To work successfully within the Catering Department providing catering to a variety of areas._
- Internal Warehouse and Distribution staff, Office workers including various Administration staff._
- Operational Managers, Directors and Sales Teams_
- Outside Contractors and Visitors._
- The role will ensure the department will meet the requirements of the Food Safety Act ,the company’s_
- H.A.C.C.P. procedure, Customer Service, staff development, Health & Hygiene Health & Safety & Environmental procedures along with the highest standards of food service & cleanliness_

**2. Dimensions**
- The service is operational during the day, serving Breakfast and Lunches from Monday to Friday._
- The Night service provides Hot Meals and Snacks from Sunday to Thursday._
- There is responsibility for a chilled Vending machine which offers snacks._
- All Catering staff report directly to the Canteen Manager._

**3. Role context**
- Cooking and serving Breakfast to the Depot staff interacting with customers and encourage Sales using your knowledge and experience of the foods we serve._
- Maintaining the highest levels of food service, Kitchen cleanliness and Hygiene at all times adopting “Clean as you go” throughout the shift._
- Re-stocking the counter and replenishing whether on a day or night shift_
- Logging any out -of -date or damaged products or equipment and immediately telling the manager._
- Fill and clean the Vending machine on a daily basis._
- Completion of all paperwork e.g. Weekly Cleaning and Outside Fridge cleaning_
- Correct Cash Handling notifying the Manager of any discrepancies_
- Assist the assistant Chef and Chef with the preparation of meals for lunchtime (this includes hot and cold dishes)._
- Equipment cleaning and dishwashing_
- Any additional tasks as required by the Manager._
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEARS EXPERIENCE_

**Job Types**: Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Warrington: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
- customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
